Finished Wheel

Did I finished the project?
Yes, I finished it.

What grade did I get?
I got 93%

If I was trying to teach someone else how to make a cylinder, what steps would I go over?
At first you have to weight your clay. You need 2.5 lbs, actually only 2 lbs, but because of it was our first time we did something on the wheel, we should use 2.5.
After that you need all your tools, go to the wheel, push your "sea shell" of clay on the wheel, don't squish your clay! After that turn it on. Then you have to bring your clay three times up and down. Don't pull, just push with both hands against the clay and it will go up. To bring it down, take your hand on the top, the other hand on the side and push again.
after that leave it down. Try to get your bunsh of clay even, if it is not even you cannot open it. To open it use your thumb, push it down in the middle of the clay, don't go too far to the bottom. After you opened it enough, don't speed up your wheel anymore, let it slow down a little bit. Then use your three fingers, which are in the middle to open it more and to bring it up. To get it even, let your fingers for 2 seconds at the same heigh, then go a little bit higher. Repeat it several times. During that use your other hand to push from the outside against the cylinder. You don't need ti widen it, it has to be tall enough. You could also use a sponge to let it look better, from the out- and inside. After you got your cylinder (6" )
miss Gleeson will cut it into two halfs, to check how well you have done your work.

Wheel

You have 2.5 pounds to make your 6" tall cylinder. What part of the process are you focusing on now?
3) Trying to get my cylinder to at least 4 inches

What directions have been most helpful to you when learning how to use the potter's wheel?
how to center the clay

What tips has Mrs Gleeson given to me, that are completely useless to me?
How I have to get the 6" tall pot. After centering the clay I have still problems to get it that tall or at least to get it tall.
