What does it mean to "slip and score" ?
To "slip and score" means that we have two pieces of our clay and we will slip them together to get our pinch pot.You have to carve the endings of the pieces and use the smooth clay to slip it together.
It is important because then you can get the shape you wanted to and it will stay together.
What steps did I use to show that I have control of the clay?Well, I used a banding wheel, so I didn't have to touch my pinch pot too much and I could turn it in every direction I wanted to. Also I have used a wooden spoon to get the irregularities out of my pinch pot and I used a sponge to make it looking smooth and soft.
