I used Goldenrod Shino and second hand rose and for the detailed parts I used 082 and 272.
Why is it important to wash your hands and wipe any dust off of your bisque ware?
Our hands could be sweety, or dirty from food we ate befor the ceramics class and so our fingerprints could be on the pot and the glazing will not be at this part because it would be like the wax, which we have to out on the bottom of our pot. And we have to wipe off all the dust of our pot because if not we would have the same problem. Our glazing would be not that good or it will look different than we wanted it to.
When glazing, I need to apply wax resist to my work: a) always b) only when dipping into a bucket c) only when I'm brushing on a glaze
it is: a) always!
When using the bucket of glaze, what is the appropriate amount of the time to keep your pot in contact with the glaze?
for only about one second.
Coil Pot
Glazing: D Turkish Amber 14 Blue Rutile |
